SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW: EFEKTIVITAS IMPLEMENTASI KURIKULUM MERDEKA DI PONDOK PESANTREN
Abstract
This study aims to explore and analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum in Islamic boarding schools. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) research approach with the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) design which involves several stages, such as data selection strategies, research criteria, and data extraction. Secondary data sources used were Google Scholar and Garuda databases, to search for relevant literature between 2022 and 2024. The results show that Merdeka Curriculum has proven to be effective in improving the quality of education quality in Islamic boarding schools. However, there are still challenges and obstacles in its implementation, including adjustments to the changing learning paradigm as well as merging the new curriculum policy with the existing organizational structure, and limited facilities and access to technology. Therefore, future researchers are advised to conduct a comparative study between boarding schools that have successfully implemented Merdeka curriculum and boarding schools that still face significant obstacles.
